Rev. Jennifer Watley Maxell affectionately known as “Rev. Jenn” is a preacher, teacher, church co-founder, life coach and author. With the blessing of Bishop William P. Deveaux, former Presiding Prelate of the Sixth Episcopal District of the AME Church, Jennifer and her husband Rev. Charles A. In addition to being a poet and blogger Rev. Jenn is a contributing author of several books including: “Why Black Lives Matter (Too): A Revolutionary Call to Action” and “Exodus Preaching: Crafting Sermons About Justice and Hope”. She has also authored “Like Father, Like Daughter: Meditations and Reflections for Father and Daughters” with her father Dr. William D. Watley.

Rev. Jenn received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Howard University, and her Master of Divinity degree from Emory’s Candler School of Theology with Certificates in Black Church Studies and Religious Education; and was ordained an Itinerate Elder in the AME church in May 2017.
